Still a few weeks until my in-game birthday, but I can't say I am looking forward to it because of a stupid collectible present.
Is there a title involved for having all 9? of them?
"Friend of Presents" or "Birthday girl" or something like that?

B the way, if "realistic" to you means sticking 20 warhammers in a bag, and holding 5 bows on your belt, you need to get out more.

ppl that sell on eBay probably have more than one account... After all they are making $$$ of items, so they can easily get another account without costing them anything....
I know we dont pay a monthly fee, which is awesome. I would not mind paying one time fee for a bigger storage, similar to what is being considered to add additional slots, just to make easier. (hate logging in and out of my mule)

Here is my take on the storage thing:
the first character pays the gold to setup the storage yet for every character afterwards you pay again the same price to access the same storage as the first character without any increase for storage. so for this issue either drop the cost after the initial setup or increase the storage.
Here is what would better to do for storage.
500G to setup a 50 slot storage initially.
100G to add 10 slots for every character afterwards.
so with 6 characters with the Prophecy/Faction accounts that would make a grand total of 100 slots or 80 for Prophecy only accounts.
And here is something I would like to add which would help out in Guild support.
Add a Parcel Package Pickup like storage. This storage is for Guild Members passing needed items to other Guild memebrs of the same Guild/Alliance. One would go to their Guild Hall and locate the PPA(Parcel Package Agent) and select an option to drop a package to another guild member and select their name then place the items into a 5 slot parcel window. This then would trigger a notice upon login of the other Member that they have a Parcel Pickup at the Guild's PPA. There would be time limit for how long the item(s) can stay in the pickup area. That would be 30 days afterwhich the item would be dropped or redirected back to the initiator. Or with another feature mention here at the site, have the item place in the Guild Vault were the Leader/Owners can only get it out.
I really hope this idea could work out, this issue really needs to be addressed.

Yeah if they keep adding more cost for stuff they could easily fix, I am not sure how long the community will tolerate it.
Not me of course, I am Loyal. I am just not buying all the extra stuff. (slots, and possibly storage in the near future)

And that was great, pay for more slots but a few Platinum for like 10 more slots would be better

I would do that only after the initial storage setup of each character. If I needed to go beyond what I mention then pay the extra plats for more storage.
remember I'm stating we pay to use the same space on all our character, either drop the cost after the first character creates the storage or increase storage as the other characters pay to use what has been paid for already.
It's kind of like having everybody in the house pay the same mortgage to live the the same house that the head of the house has already paid for to start with. That's how I see the current storage working.

That's one of the first things I did when I started, was try to put bags in there and access them when I ran out of strage space.

I just play casually and still have to much stuff without space to store it. Please just offer a fee to expand our storage or allow bags to be placed in storage.
Also, where is the Guild storage??

I don't believe that all 20 spaces should ever be able to hold full bags. Someone suggested the idea of Anet changing the status of a limited amount of slots to be able to hold full bags. I think that is the best idea I have seen in this thread. If 1 row of storage could be converted to be able to hold random items OR a full bag. That would be 4 spaces for bags!!! I would be completely happy with that! More would be stupid and excessive, and would only promote hoarding. This just gives us the ability to go into explorable areas with completely empty inventory. It has been so long since I could do that.

though to be honest i really dont care what solution Anet uses as long as something is done.
What use are the new additional character slots going to be if we still have the same piddly storage space for even more character's stuff. I'm certainly not paying £5 for a character slot just to be creating a mule.

i agree about running out of space and i only have 2 characters. with the addition of factions and the ability to have 6 characters this problem gets even worse. how about the merchant selling an item that lets you take your bags from 10-15 item slots? that could potentially add 10 slots per character.

I see lots of good suggestions. I also hear nothing from A.Net.
What will it take for A.Net to finish creating this great game?
I think they have taken the chicken way out. They are happy as long as they keep selling new accounts. Too bad those new accounts fill up and people get pissed.
For the record: Gaile Gray responded to my questions about storage during the Christmas Event. She said that the storage issues would be addressed. I call BS. This is only one of several thread about this issue and no PR representative has responded, or made the developers fix the problem.
I got swindled. I bought Factions thinking that A.Net would fix the storage. I was wrong.
Fool me once shame on you. It won't happen twice.
